Rare Reliquary With Relic Of Bl Fra Angelico OpI am pleased to list this very rare reliquary containing a frgament of linen belonging to the famed fra angelico, op, who is known for the many renaissance paintings he produced in his life time. He was also known for his piety and sanctity and has been declared by the church to be a blessed. The reliquary comes from a dominican friary that closed several years ago. There is no documentation with this offer but an unusual red wax seal can be seen on the reverse side. It si unusual in that it has an image of a bishop/saint with a latin text surrounding it. I cannot make out the text because part of the seal is broken. The threads on the sides are intact and the substantial relic in place. You are bidding no the brass theca and wax seal.
